Dear Friends

The Cappy Smith Auction is over. Click on the pictures of things you bid on and see if yours was the final price. I will be contacting all the winners who sent in their bids after the computer crash Saturday night (mentioned in the previous notice posted here.) If you have a winning bid that was made before Saturday, you must forward a copy to me as all of those records were distroyed.

Distribution

I will be making email or phone contact with all of the winners that I have records for. My general plan is to be at a central location in Middleburg for two hours this Saturday (April 7, 2007) where I will hand out items and collect payments. I will repeat the same process on Monday, April 9, 2007. As instant communication is helpful in those situations, my cell phone is 202-415-4040. My email is Sandy@McCallRanch.com

For those of you unable to pick up your items, shipping and handling at the buyer's expense are the only alternatives. Ergo, I hope to be able to pass things out, hold down costs, and finish this quickly.

Lastly, I would like to say thanks to all of you. I have had some great email and phone conversations with No-Longer-Strangers and heard some great stories about a person who loved the Middleburg life as much as he loved anything. The thought that some of these small items might provoke further stories and memories of Cappy is something that makes me very happy.
